Designed and implemented an automated food bank process, using data and open communication to cut waste and foster a shared sense of responsibility.
Result: Zero packaging debt, no waste, and stronger connections both inside and outside the warehouse.
On my own initiative (in my spare time and despite being told everything was “under control”), I independently designed, led, and executed a deep-dive audit - triggered by one of my designed tools revealing inconsistencies with a separate system used by a new analyst team. Going against the status quo, I proved my findings right: over 1,300 pallets, worth more than €100,000, were missing completely system-wise and went unnoticed by the team in formal charge.
Result: Major cashflow gain, more efficient use of space, and a culture where people speak up about problems.
When a critical go-live failed and brought all operations to a halt, I kept the team calm under immense pressure, rapidly coordinated across teams, and developed a working workaround within the hour - turning a full stop into a lesson in agility and resilience.
Used post-mortem analysis to drive future readiness
Result: Downtime limited to one hour, instead of a potential full-day shutdown for all sites, saved costly delays, and strengthened trust in our ability to adapt under fire.
Designed and built a comprehensive, custom slotting system from the ground up-managing 5,000+ pick-floor slots and advising on over 15,000 buffer pallet locations. Every slotting decision factored in many dozens of smart factors including weight, fragility, turnover speed, and replenishment efficiency, blending smart automation with human review.
Delivered a robust, user-friendly tool for ongoing use and handover
